Chris Grayling, the Leader of the House of Commons, stated in a interview with The Financial Times this week that if the UK votes to leave the EU in next week’s referendum, the British government should not immediately activate Article 50 of the Treaty on the European Union, which deals with the withdrawal process, and should instead initiate a more informal process of negotiation.
