About the Speech:

In his speech, Professor Lieven discussed the geopolitical balance between Russia and the West in the wake of Britain’s vote to leave the European Union. He also argued that the West has adopted an overly ambitious approach to global affairs in recent times, and drew upon historical examples to suggest ways in which it can more concisely define its interest.
