About the Speech:
In her keynote address to the IIEA, Ms Perry drew on her critically acclaimed book, In America: Tales from Trump Country, in which she analysed the rise in support for Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential Election. Ms Perry also discussed political issues which have an impact on transatlantic relations.

Prior to becoming an RTÉ Six One news anchor, Caitríona Perry was RTÉ’s Washington Correspondent from 2013 to 2017. Before taking up that role, she held various posts as an anchor, reporter and programme editor within RTÉ. She previously worked as a legal affairs correspondent and Deputy Head of News at Today FM and she was also a news reporter with NewsTalk. She obtained her BA in Journalism and MA in International Relations from Dublin City University.
