Issue 34 of the IIEA Brexit Brief can be downloaded here.

The EU’s guidelines for Phase Two of the UK’s withdrawal negotiations are set to be approved at the meeting of the General Affairs Council on 29 January 2018, and all parties will now turn their attention to the issue of the UK’s transitional arrangements. However, many issues from Phase One, including those relating to the border on the island of Ireland, remain to be resolved and translated into legally binding terms.

Issue 34 of the IIEA Brexit Brief notes the current state of play in the talks and collates relevant news from Ireland, the UK and the rest of the EU.

Brexit Brief, published by the IIEA’s UK Project Group, covers developments in the on-going debate over the UK’s vote to Leave the European Union. It is part of a wider communications programme, which will be highlighted on the Institute’s website.
