The COVID-19 pandemic has raised a number of important questions about the future of the EU. In his address to the IIEA, Minister Donohoe reflected on some of the key economic debates the crisis has engendered in Europe, and discussed the pragmatic role that Ireland can play in shaping the EU post-COVID-19.

Paschal Donohoe is a T.D. for Dublin Central. He was appointed Minister for Finance & Public Expenditure and Reform in June 2017. Prior to that, he served as Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform from May 2016, as Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport (2014-16), and as Minister of State for European Affairs (2013-14). Minister Donohoe was first elected as a T.D. for Dublin Central in February 2011. He was a member of Seanad Éireann from 2007 to 2011.
