At its simplest, green and sustainable finance refers to the funding and financial services required to tackle climate change and to deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In her address to the IIEA’s Young Professionals’ Network, Laura Heuston argued that there is a real opportunity for Ireland to establish a leadership position in this emerging high-growth international financial services sub-sector. She made the case that facilitating and mobilising green and sustainable finance can allow the financial sector make its contribution to create a more economically, environmentally and socially sustainable and just world.

This event is open to all members of the IIEA’s Young Professionals’ Network. Membership of the YPN is available to all people between the ages of 23 and 35. Please contact cian.mccarthy@historyiiea.com if you are interested in joining.
