About the Event:
As part of the IIEA’s Future of the EU27 Project, Dr Nathalie Tocci, lead author of the EU Global Strategy published in June 2016, will outline her current work on implementing the Strategy, notably in the field of security and defence. Dr Tocci will also reflect on the impact that the UK’s withdrawal from the EU will have on the future of EU foreign and security policy.
About the Speaker:
Dr Nathalie Tocci is Director of the Istituto Affari Internazionali, and Special Adviser to EU HRVP Federica Mogherini, on whose behalf she wrote the European Global Strategy. Previously she held research positions at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, the Transatlantic Academy in Washington and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies in Florence.
