Issue 58 of the IIEA Brexit Brief can be downloaded here.
Following the latest defeat for her Brexit plans in the House of Commons, Prime Minister Theresa May has returned to Brussels to meet EU leaders and embarked on a programme of meetings with all 27 EU Heads of State or Government, in the hope of securing further concessions on the Irish backstop. The EU, for its part, continues to adhere to the position that the Withdrawal Agreement cannot be reopened, preferring to address the issue through the Political Declaration on the Future Relationship.
Brexit Brief, published by the IIEA’s UK Project Group, covers developments in the on-going debate over the UK’s vote to Leave the European Union. It is part of a wider communications programme, which will be highlighted on the Institute’s website.
