Ciarán Cannon T.D., Minister for International Development and the Diaspora will give his perspectives on the Government’s new development policy which is nearing finalisation. His address will focus on how Ireland is positioning itself internationally through its development cooperation and humanitarian assistance to respond to a rapidly changing global context.
About the Speaker:
Ciarán Cannon T.D. was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with special responsibility for the Diaspora and International Development in June 2017. Minister Cannon is a T.D. representing Galway East. Previously, he was the Minister for Training & Skills at the Department of Education & Skills. He was elected to Dáil Eireann in February 2011.
This event is part of the 2018 Development Matters Lecture Series, which the IIEA is co-hosting with Irish Aid.
