About the Speech: With the culmination of the COP21 climate conference, the contours of global climate politics are shifting. The United States and China set the tone, embracing climate action through a bilateral agreement last year. India has come forward with its 2030 pledge but is still resistant to pressure from the developed world. Against this backdrop, what is the contribution of the EU to global climate politics? At this roundtable, Dr. Diarmuid Torney will reflect on European climate diplomacy in the context of COP21 and discuss EU engagement on climate policy with China and India.
