About the Speech:

Digital technologies are an integral part of our cities’ transport, health, education systems and services.

Today, the choice cities face is not if or when cities will use novel digital technologies, but rather, choosing what role the political and civil leadership can take to optimise citizens’ lives in a bourgeoning digital landscape.

Volker Buscher presented Arup’s groundbreaking research working with cities around the globe, developing their digital agendas and facilitating governments’ new role leading their cities into a new digital frontier.

About the Speaker:

Volker Buscher is a Director of Arup, the global leader of its Digital Business and project director for public and private sector clients in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and SE Asia.
