About the Speech

The Digital Single Market DSM initiative is worth an estimated €415 billion to the EU economy, and has the potential to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs. It is vital to the future of European prosperity. Much progress has been made but if the benefits of digital are to be fully realised the pace of implementation will need to intensify. Mr. Viola discussed how this can be achieved, and how policy makers and the private sector can collaborate to optimise this process.
