In the third address of the IIEA’s lecture series on the forthcoming US Presidential Election, Jeremy Shapiro, Director of Research at the European Council on Foreign Relations, analysed Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy doctrine. He addressed Hillary Clinton’s approach to the Middle East, China, Russia and the EU and her views on US military deployment abroad.
About the Speaker:
Jeremy Shapiro is Research Director at ECFR. Prior to this he was a Fellow at the Brookings Institute in Washington D.C. leading a Project on International Order and Strategy and the Center on the United States and Europe. He has previously been a member of the U.S. State Department’s Policy Planning staff, where he advised the Secretary of State on U.S. policy in North Africa and the Levant. He was also the Senior Advisor to Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Gordon, providing strategic guidance on a wide variety of US-European foreign policy issues.
