About the Speech: Dr. Bobo Lo will examine the interplay between Russian foreign policy and an increasingly uncertain and complex global environment. He will draw upon his new book, Russia and the New World Disorder, in which he makes a distinction between the Kremlin’s idealised view of its place in the current world order and the reality of a world in transition.
About the Speaker: Dr. Lo is an independent analyst as well as Associate Fellow and former Head of the Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House. He was also previously Director of the China and Russia Programmes at the Centre for European Reform and Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Moscow. He has authored several books on Russian foreign and security policy, including his most recent work Russia and the New World Disorder. He holds an MA from Oxford University, and a PhD from the University of Melbourne.
