He was previously the senior economist at the New Economics Foundation (NEF), where his work focused on developing responses to the recession and austerity. Before joining NEF, James Meadway worked as a policy advisor at HM Treasury, covering regional economic development, and science and innovation policy, and as senior policy advisor at the Royal Society.
