Welcome students!

Our Students Go Free initiative at the IIEA invites students registered at third level institutions to attend our events for free!

We know as students you have enough expenses, that’s why at the IIEA our events are now free for students! You can listen to world class speakers, gain insights, network with others and discover something new. With over 100 events per year we promise you’ll learn a thing or two.

All you have to do is enter your college or institution when you register for events. We post upcoming events on our social channels or you can sign up for our Events Digest so you know what’s coming up. You can sign up to our Digest here. It’s that simple.

The Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA) is Ireland’s leading international affairs think tank. We focus on European and global policy trends and their impact on Ireland. More information on our work can be found here.

With over 150 events per year on topics including climate change, security and defence, digital policy, geopolitics and EU-UK relations, to name just a few, we attract renowned decision-makers, thought leaders, and policy specialists to share their insights on the issues that matter most.

Some of our recent speakers include: Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland; Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka; Executive Director of UN Women; Dr Erin Marie Saltman, Facebook’s Policy Lead for Counterterrorism and Dangerous Organizations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union.
